Belarus vs Germany: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Agriculture
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Agriculture over time
- Belarus
- Germany
How they compare
Belarus currently reports 0.671 Mt CO2e against 0.6217 Mt CO2e in Germany, a difference of 0.0493 Mt CO2e.
That makes Belarus's figure about 1.1 times Germany's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Germany ahead.
Belarus ranks 33rd and Germany ranks 35th of 109 countries.
Germany has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Belarus | Germany | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0 Mt CO2e | 1.55 Mt CO2e | 1.55 Mt CO2e | Germany |
| 1980s | 0 Mt CO2e | 1.58 Mt CO2e | 1.58 Mt CO2e | Germany |
| 1990s | 0 Mt CO2e | 0.4136 Mt CO2e | 0.4136 Mt CO2e | Germany |
| 2000s | 0.1868 Mt CO2e | 0.7908 Mt CO2e | 0.604 Mt CO2e | Germany |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agricultural sector. This includes emissions from livestock (IPCC 2006 codes 3.A.1 (enteric fermentation, 3.a.2 (manure management) and crops (IPCC 2006 codes 3.C.1 Emissions from biomass burning, 3.C.2 Liming, 3.C.3 Urea application, 3.C.4 Direct N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.5 Indirect N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.6 Indirect N2O Emissions from manure management, 3.C.7 Rice cultivations). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
