Small states vs Sudan: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Agriculture
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Agriculture over time
- Small states
- Sudan
How they compare
Sudan currently reports 0.3189 Mt CO2e against 0.0891 Mt CO2e in Small states, a difference of 0.2298 Mt CO2e.
That makes Sudan's figure about 3.6 times Small states's.
The two have swapped places 11 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Small states ahead.
Small states ranks 43rd and Sudan ranks 44th of 45 groups.
Across the 6 decades both report, Small states averaged higher in 3 and Sudan in 3.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Small states | Sudan | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0.1827 Mt CO2e | 0.0951 Mt CO2e | 0.0877 Mt CO2e | Small states |
| 1980s | 0.152 Mt CO2e | 0.1065 Mt CO2e | 0.0455 Mt CO2e | Small states |
| 1990s | 0.0967 Mt CO2e | 0.073 Mt CO2e | 0.0237 Mt CO2e | Small states |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agricultural sector. This includes emissions from livestock (IPCC 2006 codes 3.A.1 (enteric fermentation, 3.a.2 (manure management) and crops (IPCC 2006 codes 3.C.1 Emissions from biomass burning, 3.C.2 Liming, 3.C.3 Urea application, 3.C.4 Direct N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.5 Indirect N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.6 Indirect N2O Emissions from manure management, 3.C.7 Rice cultivations). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
