Algeria vs Faroe Islands: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Algeria
- Faroe Islands
How they compare
Algeria currently reports 0.0024 Mt CO2e against 0.002 Mt CO2e in Faroe Islands, a difference of 0.0004 Mt CO2e.
That makes Algeria's figure about 1.2 times Faroe Islands's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Faroe Islands ahead.
Algeria ranks 54th and Faroe Islands ranks 57th of 100 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Algeria averaged higher in 2 and Faroe Islands in 4.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
