Arab World vs Romania: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Arab World
- Romania
How they compare
Romania currently reports 0.0064 Mt CO2e against 0.0037 Mt CO2e in Arab World, a difference of 0.0027 Mt CO2e.
That makes Romania's figure about 1.7 times Arab World's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Romania ahead.
Arab World ranks 41st and Romania ranks 44th of 47 groups.
Romania has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Arab World | Romania | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
