Belarus vs Romania: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Belarus
- Romania
How they compare
Belarus currently reports 0.0073 Mt CO2e against 0.0064 Mt CO2e in Romania, a difference of 0.0009 Mt CO2e.
That makes Belarus's figure about 1.1 times Romania's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Belarus ahead.
Belarus ranks 41st and Romania ranks 44th of 100 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Belarus averaged higher in 4 and Romania in 2.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
