Belgium vs Lower middle income: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Belgium
- Lower middle income
How they compare
Lower middle income currently reports 0.1364 Mt CO2e against 0.0203 Mt CO2e in Belgium, a difference of 0.1161 Mt CO2e.
That makes Lower middle income's figure about 6.7 times Belgium's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Belgium ahead.
Belgium ranks 24th and Lower middle income ranks 22nd of 100 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Belgium averaged higher in 3 and Lower middle income in 3.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
