Belgium vs Thailand: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Belgium
- Thailand
How they compare
Belgium currently reports 0.0203 Mt CO2e against 0.0191 Mt CO2e in Thailand, a difference of 0.0012 Mt CO2e.
That makes Belgium's figure about 1.1 times Thailand's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Belgium has been ahead every year.
Belgium ranks 24th and Thailand ranks 27th of 100 countries.
Belgium has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
