Benin vs Estonia: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Benin
- Estonia
How they compare
Benin currently reports 0.0004 Mt CO2e against 0.0002 Mt CO2e in Estonia, a difference of 0.0002 Mt CO2e.
That makes Benin's figure about 2.0 times Estonia's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Estonia ahead.
Benin ranks 79th and Estonia ranks 81st of 100 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Benin averaged higher in 2 and Estonia in 4.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
