Brazil vs Indonesia: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Brazil
- Indonesia
How they compare
Brazil currently reports 0.305 Mt CO2e against 0.1777 Mt CO2e in Indonesia, a difference of 0.1273 Mt CO2e.
That makes Brazil's figure about 1.7 times Indonesia's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Brazil has been ahead every year.
Brazil ranks 7th and Indonesia ranks 10th of 100 countries.
Brazil has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
