Chile vs Other small states: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Chile
- Other small states
How they compare
Chile currently reports 0.0088 Mt CO2e against 0.0075 Mt CO2e in Other small states, a difference of 0.0013 Mt CO2e.
That makes Chile's figure about 1.2 times Other small states's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Chile ahead.
Chile ranks 40th and Other small states ranks 36th of 100 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Chile averaged higher in 3 and Other small states in 3.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Chile | Other small states | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
