Czechia vs Malaysia: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Czechia
- Malaysia
How they compare
Malaysia currently reports 0.0795 Mt CO2e against 0.0537 Mt CO2e in Czechia, a difference of 0.0258 Mt CO2e.
That makes Malaysia's figure about 1.5 times Czechia's.
The two have swapped places 7 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Czechia ahead.
Czechia ranks 17th and Malaysia ranks 14th of 100 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Czechia averaged higher in 2 and Malaysia in 4.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
