Ethiopia vs Uruguay: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Ethiopia
- Uruguay
How they compare
Ethiopia currently reports 0.0017 Mt CO2e against 0.0014 Mt CO2e in Uruguay, a difference of 0.0003 Mt CO2e.
That makes Ethiopia's figure about 1.2 times Uruguay's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Uruguay ahead.
Ethiopia ranks 60th and Uruguay ranks 62nd of 100 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Ethiopia averaged higher in 1 and Uruguay in 5.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
