Euro area vs Norway: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Euro area
- Norway
How they compare
Euro area currently reports 1.85 Mt CO2e against 0.0601 Mt CO2e in Norway, a difference of 1.79 Mt CO2e.
That makes Euro area's figure about 30.7 times Norway's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Euro area has been ahead every year.
Euro area ranks 15th and Norway ranks 16th of 45 groups.
Euro area has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
