European Union vs Vietnam: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- European Union
- Vietnam
How they compare
European Union currently reports 2.24 Mt CO2e against 0.0534 Mt CO2e in Vietnam, a difference of 2.19 Mt CO2e.
That makes European Union's figure about 41.9 times Vietnam's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, European Union has been ahead every year.
European Union ranks 1st and Vietnam ranks 18th of 2 regions.
European Union has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
