Greenland vs Switzerland: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Greenland
- Switzerland
How they compare
Switzerland currently reports 0.0013 Mt CO2e against 0.0011 Mt CO2e in Greenland, a difference of 0.0002 Mt CO2e.
That makes Switzerland's figure about 1.2 times Greenland's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Switzerland has been ahead every year.
Greenland ranks 65th and Switzerland ranks 64th of 101 countries.
Switzerland has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
