Honduras vs Myanmar: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Honduras
- Myanmar
How they compare
Myanmar currently reports 0.0479 Mt CO2e against 0.0342 Mt CO2e in Honduras, a difference of 0.0137 Mt CO2e.
That makes Myanmar's figure about 1.4 times Honduras's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Myanmar ahead.
Honduras ranks 21st and Myanmar ranks 19th of 100 countries.
Myanmar has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Honduras | Myanmar | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0.0112 Mt CO2e | 0.0177 Mt CO2e | 0.0065 Mt CO2e | Myanmar |
| 1980s | 0.0178 Mt CO2e | 0.0228 Mt CO2e | 0.005 Mt CO2e | Myanmar |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
