IDA only vs Italy: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- IDA only
- Italy
How they compare
IDA only currently reports 0.1295 Mt CO2e against 0.0198 Mt CO2e in Italy, a difference of 0.1097 Mt CO2e.
That makes IDA only's figure about 6.5 times Italy's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Italy ahead.
IDA only ranks 25th and Italy ranks 27th of 45 groups.
Across the 6 decades both report, IDA only averaged higher in 3 and Italy in 3.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
