Indonesia vs Philippines: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Indonesia
- Philippines
How they compare
Indonesia currently reports 0.1777 Mt CO2e against 0.1569 Mt CO2e in Philippines, a difference of 0.0208 Mt CO2e.
That makes Indonesia's figure about 1.1 times Philippines's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Philippines ahead.
Indonesia ranks 10th and Philippines ranks 11th of 100 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Indonesia averaged higher in 3 and Philippines in 3.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
