Ireland vs Low income: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Ireland
- Low income
How they compare
Low income currently reports 0.0245 Mt CO2e against 0.0145 Mt CO2e in Ireland, a difference of 0.01 Mt CO2e.
That makes Low income's figure about 1.7 times Ireland's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Ireland ahead.
Ireland ranks 32nd and Low income ranks 28th of 100 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Ireland averaged higher in 4 and Low income in 2.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Ireland | Low income | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
