Kenya vs Switzerland: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Kenya
- Switzerland
How they compare
Kenya currently reports 0.0016 Mt CO2e against 0.0013 Mt CO2e in Switzerland, a difference of 0.0003 Mt CO2e.
That makes Kenya's figure about 1.2 times Switzerland's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Switzerland ahead.
Kenya ranks 61st and Switzerland ranks 63rd of 100 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Kenya averaged higher in 1 and Switzerland in 5.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
