Sub-Saharan Africa (IDA & IBRD countries) vs Thailand: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Waste over time
- Sub-Saharan Africa (IDA & IBRD countries)
- Thailand
How they compare
Thailand currently reports 0.0191 Mt CO2e against 0.0158 Mt CO2e in Sub-Saharan Africa (IDA & IBRD countries), a difference of 0.0033 Mt CO2e.
That makes Thailand's figure about 1.2 times Sub-Saharan Africa (IDA & IBRD countries)'s.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Thailand has been ahead every year.
Sub-Saharan Africa (IDA & IBRD countries) ranks 29th and Thailand ranks 27th of 45 groups.
Thailand has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
