Bangladesh vs IDA total: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions (total) excluding LULUCF
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions (total) excluding LULUCF over time
- Bangladesh
- IDA total
How they compare
Bangladesh currently reports 741.0% against 144.5% in IDA total, a difference of 596.5%.
That makes Bangladesh's figure about 5.1 times IDA total's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 34 shared years of data; in 1991 it was IDA total ahead.
Bangladesh ranks 22nd and IDA total ranks 23rd of 201 countries.
Bangladesh has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Bangladesh | IDA total | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 37.8% | 8.7% | 29.2% | Bangladesh |
| 2000s | 173.9% | 43.3% | 130.6% | Bangladesh |

About this data
Change of emissions (as %) of current year with respect to emissions in baseline year 1990 emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agriculture, energy, waste, and industrial sectors, excluding LULUCF.. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5). Negative values indicate that the emission level for that year is lower than the emissions level in 1990.
