Heavily indebted poor countries (HIPC) vs Maldives: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions (total) excluding LULUCF
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions (total) excluding LULUCF over time
- Heavily indebted poor countries (HIPC)
- Maldives
How they compare
Maldives currently reports 1,889.8% against 398.5% in Heavily indebted poor countries (HIPC), a difference of 1,491.3%.
That makes Maldives's figure about 4.7 times Heavily indebted poor countries (HIPC)'s.
Across all 34 years both countries report, Maldives has been ahead every year.
Heavily indebted poor countries (HIPC) ranks 6th and Maldives ranks 8th of 47 groups.
Maldives has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.

About this data
Change of emissions (as %) of current year with respect to emissions in baseline year 1990 emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agriculture, energy, waste, and industrial sectors, excluding LULUCF.. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5). Negative values indicate that the emission level for that year is lower than the emissions level in 1990.
