Middle income vs Viet Nam: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions (total) excluding LULUCF
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions (total) excluding LULUCF over time
- Middle income
- Viet Nam
How they compare
Viet Nam currently reports 1,993.6% against 241.4% in Middle income, a difference of 1,752.2%.
That makes Viet Nam's figure about 8.3 times Middle income's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 34 shared years of data; in 1991 it was Middle income ahead.
Middle income ranks 10th and Viet Nam ranks 7th of 47 groups.
Viet Nam has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Middle income | Viet Nam | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
Change of emissions (as %) of current year with respect to emissions in baseline year 1990 emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agriculture, energy, waste, and industrial sectors, excluding LULUCF.. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5). Negative values indicate that the emission level for that year is lower than the emissions level in 1990.
