Americas vs Viet Nam: Crop residue removal — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Crop residue removal — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Americas
- Viet Nam
How they compare
Viet Nam currently reports 21.09 kg/ha against 9.32 kg/ha in Americas, a difference of 11.77 kg/ha.
That makes Viet Nam's figure about 2.3 times Americas's.
The two have swapped places 10 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Viet Nam ahead.
Americas ranks 23rd and Viet Nam ranks 2nd of 29 groups.
Across the 7 decades both report, Americas averaged higher in 1 and Viet Nam in 6.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Americas | Viet Nam | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
