Congo vs Eritrea: Crop residue removal — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Crop residue removal — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Congo
- Eritrea
How they compare
Congo currently reports 6.16 kg/ha against 5.77 kg/ha in Eritrea, a difference of 0.39 kg/ha.
That makes Congo's figure about 1.1 times Eritrea's.
The two have swapped places 14 times across 31 shared years of data; in 1993 it was Congo ahead.
Congo ranks 119th and Eritrea ranks 122nd of 186 countries.
Across the 4 decades both report, Congo averaged higher in 2 and Eritrea in 2.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Congo | Eritrea | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 4.83 kg/ha | 5.48 kg/ha | 0.6528 kg/ha | Eritrea |
| 2000s | 5.12 kg/ha | 5.02 kg/ha | 0.1002 kg/ha | Congo |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
