Czechoslovakia vs Northern Europe: Crop residue removal — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Crop residue removal — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Czechoslovakia
- Northern Europe
How they compare
Czechoslovakia currently reports 28.77 kg/ha against 14.45 kg/ha in Northern Europe, a difference of 14.32 kg/ha.
That makes Czechoslovakia's figure about 2.0 times Northern Europe's.
Across all 32 years both countries report, Czechoslovakia has been ahead every year.
Czechoslovakia ranks 11th and Northern Europe ranks 10th of 186 countries.
Czechoslovakia has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Czechoslovakia | Northern Europe | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 19.21 kg/ha | 10.07 kg/ha | 9.15 kg/ha | Czechoslovakia |
| 1970s | 27.14 kg/ha | 12.28 kg/ha | 14.86 kg/ha | Czechoslovakia |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
