New Caledonia vs Polynesia: Crop residue removal — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Crop residue removal — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- New Caledonia
- Polynesia
How they compare
Polynesia currently reports 1.51 kg/ha against 1.3 kg/ha in New Caledonia, a difference of 0.21 kg/ha.
That makes Polynesia's figure about 1.2 times New Caledonia's.
The two have swapped places 4 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Polynesia ahead.
New Caledonia ranks 192nd and Polynesia ranks 190th of 201 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, New Caledonia averaged higher in 6 and Polynesia in 1.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
