Kuwait vs Northern Africa: Crop residue removal — Cropland phosphorus per unit area
Crop residue removal — Cropland phosphorus per unit area over time
- Kuwait
- Northern Africa
How they compare
Kuwait currently reports 3.9 kg/ha against 1.47 kg/ha in Northern Africa, a difference of 2.43 kg/ha.
That makes Kuwait's figure about 2.6 times Northern Africa's.
The two have swapped places 6 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Kuwait ahead.
Kuwait ranks 25th and Northern Africa ranks 23rd of 186 countries.
Kuwait has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Kuwait | Northern Africa | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 1.45 kg/ha | 1.37 kg/ha | 0.0801 kg/ha | Kuwait |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
