Bhutan vs Chile: Crop residue removal — Cropland potassium per unit area
Crop residue removal — Cropland potassium per unit area over time
- Bhutan
- Chile
How they compare
Bhutan currently reports 25.94 kg/ha against 24.45 kg/ha in Chile, a difference of 1.49 kg/ha.
That makes Bhutan's figure about 1.1 times Chile's.
The two have swapped places 8 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Bhutan ahead.
Bhutan ranks 73rd and Chile ranks 76th of 185 countries.
Bhutan has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Bhutan | Chile | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 15.3 kg/ha | 4.14 kg/ha | 11.16 kg/ha | Bhutan |
| 1970s | 15.52 kg/ha | 4.75 kg/ha | 10.77 kg/ha | Bhutan |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
