Guyana vs Northern Africa: Crop residue removal — Cropland potassium per unit area
Crop residue removal — Cropland potassium per unit area over time
- Guyana
- Northern Africa
How they compare
Guyana currently reports 56.31 kg/ha against 19.66 kg/ha in Northern Africa, a difference of 36.65 kg/ha.
That makes Guyana's figure about 2.9 times Northern Africa's.
The two have swapped places 16 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Guyana ahead.
Guyana ranks 22nd and Northern Africa ranks 21st of 186 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Guyana averaged higher in 5 and Northern Africa in 2.
Head to head by decade

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
