How they compare

Turkmenistan currently reports 362.44 kg/ha against 121.56 kg/ha in World, a difference of 240.88 kg/ha.

That makes Turkmenistan's figure about 3.0 times World's.

The two have swapped places 2 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Turkmenistan ahead.

Turkmenistan ranks 8th and World ranks 9th of 201 countries.

Turkmenistan has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.

Head to head by decade

Decade Turkmenistan World Difference Ahead
1990s 110.71 kg/ha 89.23 kg/ha 21.48 kg/ha Turkmenistan
2000s 132.58 kg/ha 99.61 kg/ha 32.96 kg/ha Turkmenistan
2010s 254.43 kg/ha 113.84 kg/ha 140.59 kg/ha Turkmenistan

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
