Melanesia vs Western Asia: Input — Cropland phosphorus per unit area
Input — Cropland phosphorus per unit area over time
- Melanesia
- Western Asia
How they compare
Western Asia currently reports 10.58 kg/ha against 6.2 kg/ha in Melanesia, a difference of 4.38 kg/ha.
That makes Western Asia's figure about 1.7 times Melanesia's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Melanesia ahead.
Melanesia ranks 13th and Western Asia ranks 14th of 18 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Melanesia averaged higher in 1 and Western Asia in 6.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
