South America vs Viet Nam: Input — Cropland phosphorus per unit area
Input — Cropland phosphorus per unit area over time
- South America
- Viet Nam
How they compare
Viet Nam currently reports 38.24 kg/ha against 26.22 kg/ha in South America, a difference of 12.02 kg/ha.
That makes Viet Nam's figure about 1.5 times South America's.
The two have swapped places 8 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Viet Nam ahead.
South America ranks 2nd and Viet Nam ranks 2nd of 29 groups.
Across the 7 decades both report, South America averaged higher in 1 and Viet Nam in 6.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | South America | Viet Nam | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
