Southern Africa vs Viet Nam: Input — Cropland phosphorus per unit area
Input — Cropland phosphorus per unit area over time
- Southern Africa
- Viet Nam
How they compare
Viet Nam currently reports 38.24 kg/ha against 8.76 kg/ha in Southern Africa, a difference of 29.48 kg/ha.
That makes Viet Nam's figure about 4.4 times Southern Africa's.
The two have swapped places 6 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Viet Nam ahead.
Southern Africa ranks 18th and Viet Nam ranks 3rd of 38 regions.
Across the 7 decades both report, Southern Africa averaged higher in 1 and Viet Nam in 6.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
