France vs Japan: Input — Cropland potassium per unit area
Input — Cropland potassium per unit area over time
- France
- Japan
How they compare
Japan currently reports 60.09 kg/ha against 56.6 kg/ha in France, a difference of 3.49 kg/ha.
That makes Japan's figure about 1.1 times France's.
The two have swapped places 7 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was France ahead.
France ranks 50th and Japan ranks 47th of 186 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, France averaged higher in 3 and Japan in 4.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
