How they compare

Kiribati currently reports 5.1 kg/ha against 4.66 kg/ha in Sudan, a difference of 0.44 kg/ha.

That makes Kiribati's figure about 1.1 times Sudan's.

The two have swapped places 2 times across 12 shared years of data; in 2012 it was Kiribati ahead.

Kiribati ranks 171st and Sudan ranks 174th of 186 countries.

Kiribati has averaged higher in every one of the 2 decades both report.

Head to head by decade

Decade Kiribati Sudan Difference Ahead
2010s 4.94 kg/ha 4.84 kg/ha 0.0965 kg/ha Kiribati
2020s 5.07 kg/ha 4.67 kg/ha 0.4004 kg/ha Kiribati

Averages of every year both report within each decade.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
