Afghanistan vs Togo: Leaching — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Leaching — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Afghanistan
- Togo
How they compare
Togo currently reports 2.51 kg/ha against 2.2 kg/ha in Afghanistan, a difference of 0.31 kg/ha.
That makes Togo's figure about 1.1 times Afghanistan's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Afghanistan ahead.
Afghanistan ranks 156th and Togo ranks 153rd of 186 countries.
Afghanistan has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Afghanistan | Togo | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 1.63 kg/ha | 0.3876 kg/ha | 1.24 kg/ha | Afghanistan |
| 1970s | 1.85 kg/ha | 0.4728 kg/ha | 1.37 kg/ha | Afghanistan |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
