How they compare

Qatar currently reports 35.72 kg/ha against 8.9 kg/ha in Americas, a difference of 26.82 kg/ha.

That makes Qatar's figure about 4.0 times Americas's.

The two have swapped places 3 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Americas ahead.

Americas ranks 12th and Qatar ranks 15th of 32 groups.

Across the 7 decades both report, Americas averaged higher in 1 and Qatar in 6.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
