How they compare

Benin currently reports 2.37 kg/ha against 2.13 kg/ha in Yemen, a difference of 0.24 kg/ha.

That makes Benin's figure about 1.1 times Yemen's.

The two have swapped places 12 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Benin ahead.

Benin ranks 167th and Yemen ranks 170th of 201 countries.

Across the 7 decades both report, Benin averaged higher in 4 and Yemen in 3.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
