Eswatini vs New Zealand: Leaching — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Leaching — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Eswatini
- New Zealand
How they compare
New Zealand currently reports 6.78 kg/ha against 5.6 kg/ha in Eswatini, a difference of 1.18 kg/ha.
That makes New Zealand's figure about 1.2 times Eswatini's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Eswatini ahead.
Eswatini ranks 117th and New Zealand ranks 115th of 186 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Eswatini averaged higher in 3 and New Zealand in 4.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
