Kenya vs Polynesia: Leaching — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Leaching — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Kenya
- Polynesia
How they compare
Polynesia currently reports 4.41 kg/ha against 4.18 kg/ha in Kenya, a difference of 0.23 kg/ha.
That makes Polynesia's figure about 1.1 times Kenya's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Polynesia ahead.
Kenya ranks 140th and Polynesia ranks 137th of 201 countries.
Polynesia has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Kenya | Polynesia | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 1.14 kg/ha | 1.54 kg/ha | 0.3971 kg/ha | Polynesia |
| 1970s | 1.54 kg/ha | 2.09 kg/ha | 0.5544 kg/ha | Polynesia |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
