How they compare

Sudan currently reports 1.38 kg/ha against 1.28 kg/ha in Libya, a difference of 0.1 kg/ha.

That makes Sudan's figure about 1.1 times Libya's.

The two have swapped places 3 times across 12 shared years of data; in 2012 it was Libya ahead.

Libya ranks 189th and Sudan ranks 186th of 201 countries.

Across the 2 decades both report, Libya averaged higher in 1 and Sudan in 1.

Head to head by decade

Decade Libya Sudan Difference Ahead
2010s 1.59 kg/ha 1.3 kg/ha 0.2947 kg/ha Libya
2020s 1.27 kg/ha 1.53 kg/ha 0.2635 kg/ha Sudan

Averages of every year both report within each decade.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
