Mongolia vs Small Island Developing States (SIDS): Leaching — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Leaching — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Mongolia
- Small Island Developing States (SIDS)
How they compare
Mongolia currently reports 35 kg/ha against 6.21 kg/ha in Small Island Developing States (SIDS), a difference of 28.79 kg/ha.
That makes Mongolia's figure about 5.6 times Small Island Developing States (SIDS)'s.
Across all 63 years both countries report, Mongolia has been ahead every year.
Mongolia ranks 17th and Small Island Developing States (SIDS) ranks 19th of 201 countries.
Mongolia has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
