Thailand vs Viet Nam: Leaching — Cropland nitrogen
Leaching — Cropland nitrogen over time
- Thailand
- Viet Nam
How they compare
Thailand currently reports 302,232 t against 242,668 t in Viet Nam, a difference of 59,564 t.
That makes Thailand's figure about 1.2 times Viet Nam's.
The two have swapped places 12 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Thailand ahead.
Thailand ranks 10th and Viet Nam ranks 12th of 201 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Thailand averaged higher in 3 and Viet Nam in 4.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
