Asia vs Caribbean: Manure applied — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Manure applied — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Asia
- Caribbean
How they compare
Caribbean currently reports 25.96 kg/ha against 22.57 kg/ha in Asia, a difference of 3.39 kg/ha.
That makes Caribbean's figure about 1.2 times Asia's.
The two have swapped places 4 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Caribbean ahead.
Asia ranks 6th and Caribbean ranks 6th of 18 groups.
Caribbean has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Asia | Caribbean | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
