Caribbean vs Europe: Manure applied — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Manure applied — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Caribbean
- Europe
How they compare
Caribbean currently reports 25.96 kg/ha against 20.01 kg/ha in Europe, a difference of 5.95 kg/ha.
That makes Caribbean's figure about 1.3 times Europe's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Europe ahead.
Caribbean ranks 6th and Europe ranks 9th of 29 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Caribbean averaged higher in 2 and Europe in 5.
Head to head by decade

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
