Central America vs Polynesia: Manure applied — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Manure applied — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Central America
- Polynesia
How they compare
Central America currently reports 22.39 kg/ha against 20.73 kg/ha in Polynesia, a difference of 1.66 kg/ha.
That makes Central America's figure about 1.1 times Polynesia's.
The two have swapped places 4 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Central America ahead.
Central America ranks 7th and Polynesia ranks 7th of 29 groups.
Across the 7 decades both report, Central America averaged higher in 3 and Polynesia in 4.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
