Bermuda vs Seychelles: Methane (CH4) emissions from Agriculture
Methane (CH4) emissions from Agriculture over time
- Bermuda
- Seychelles
How they compare
Seychelles currently reports 0.0023 Mt CO2e against 0.0021 Mt CO2e in Bermuda, a difference of 0.0002 Mt CO2e.
That makes Seychelles's figure about 1.1 times Bermuda's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Seychelles ahead.
Bermuda ranks 193rd and Seychelles ranks 192nd of 201 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Bermuda averaged higher in 1 and Seychelles in 5.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Bermuda | Seychelles | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0.002 Mt CO2e | 0.004 Mt CO2e | 0.002 Mt CO2e | Seychelles |
| 1980s | 0.002 Mt CO2e | 0.005 Mt CO2e | 0.003 Mt CO2e | Seychelles |
| 1990s | 0.002 Mt CO2e | 0.0056 Mt CO2e | 0.0036 Mt CO2e | Seychelles |
| 2000s | 0.002 Mt CO2e | 0.0027 Mt CO2e | 0.0006 Mt CO2e | Seychelles |
| 2010s | 0.0022 Mt CO2e | 0.0017 Mt CO2e | 0.0005 Mt CO2e | Bermuda |
| 2020s | 0.0022 Mt CO2e | 0.0022 Mt CO2e | 0.0001 Mt CO2e | Seychelles |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of methane (CH4), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agricultural sector. This includes emissions from livestock (IPCC 2006 codes 3.A.1 (enteric fermentation, 3.a.2 (manure management) and crops (IPCC 2006 codes 3.C.1 Emissions from biomass burning, 3.C.7 Rice cultivations). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
