Guyana vs Slovenia: Methane (CH4) emissions from Agriculture
Methane (CH4) emissions from Agriculture over time
- Guyana
- Slovenia
How they compare
Guyana currently reports 1.62 Mt CO2e against 1.5 Mt CO2e in Slovenia, a difference of 0.12 Mt CO2e.
That makes Guyana's figure about 1.1 times Slovenia's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Slovenia ahead.
Guyana ranks 121st and Slovenia ranks 124th of 201 countries.
Slovenia has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Guyana | Slovenia | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0.969 Mt CO2e | 2.07 Mt CO2e | 1.1 Mt CO2e | Slovenia |
| 1980s | 0.7624 Mt CO2e | 2.07 Mt CO2e | 1.31 Mt CO2e | Slovenia |
| 1990s | 1.02 Mt CO2e | 1.56 Mt CO2e | 0.5482 Mt CO2e | Slovenia |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of methane (CH4), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agricultural sector. This includes emissions from livestock (IPCC 2006 codes 3.A.1 (enteric fermentation, 3.a.2 (manure management) and crops (IPCC 2006 codes 3.C.1 Emissions from biomass burning, 3.C.7 Rice cultivations). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
